Hydro Air Physical Therapy is not credentialed with health insurance and provides treatment on a "self-pay" (out of pocket) basis only. Doing so allows us to have avoid the "factory mentality" so prevalent in our broken healthcare system, where patients are kept in therapy (intentionally or not) as long as possible to get as many visits as the insurance will allow. This causes recovery to be delayed and tempts clinics to have their patients spend more time with unskilled technicians, rather than experienced professionals.
Direct pay, concierge therapy is the better way to improve health outcomes, because our focus is patient (not insurance) centered. At Hydro Air, all treatment time is spent with your doctor of physical therapy. You also receive in-app messaging directly with your therapist so you don't have to wait for your next appointment to ask questions. This keeps you in the "driver seat" with your therapist acting as a guide.
HSA and FSA payment is accepted. Additionally, if you do desire to utilize insurance benefits, most insurances (Medicare excepted) will reimburse all or part of treatment when you submit your treatment "superbill" receipt to them.
